Scar correction

In the case of cuts or injuries, but also acne, the skin forms scar tissue to restore the protective function of the skin. However, the new tissue may be less elastic, make the surrounding skin appear lighter and prevent the regrowth of hair. Scars can lead to psychological distress and/or cause functional limitations, depending on the affected area and the severity.
In our practice we offer various therapies for treatment, including:
  • Cryotherapy (treatment with liquid nitrogen) and injection with cortisone
  • Intralesional cryotherapy/corticosteroid injection
  • Surgical corrective procedure under local anesthesia
  • Modulation by means of hyaluronic acid
  • Laser therapy with fractional CO2 laser (Fraxel)
  • Microneedling
  • Peeling
The type of treatment depends on the extent and nature of the scars. The costs vary depending on the size and condition of the scar. An exact cost estimate can only be made in the course of a personal examination. The possibility of reimbursement by the health insurance company must be clarified individually with the patient’s own insurance company.
